Gossip Girl entertained its viewers with first season from September 19, 2007 to May 19, 2008. The season opener was entitled Pilot. The season lasted for eighteen episodes and aired its finale on May 19, 2008 named Much ‘I Do’ About Nothing. As the season began, viewers saw Serena van der Woodsen’s return to Manhattan’s Upper East Side. This marked the beginning of the storyline of the season. Also, the season introduced all leading characters of the show namely Serena, Blair Waldorf, Dan Humphrey, Nate Archibald and Chuck Bass etc. In addition to these main characters of Gossip Girl, there were several other guest and recurring characters. Gossip Girl became one of the most anticipated series of 2007-2008 television season. The original airing of the pilot episode of Gossip Girl season 1 received 3.50 million viewers. The last episode of the season manages to garner 3.00 million viewers. People throughout the country liked all eighteen episodes of Gossip Girl and waited for the next season of the show with curiosity. A trend of success was set by the first season of Gossip Girl and all other seasons of the show followed it.
